G&E Music Composes for Animal Planet and Clear ChannelG&E completed a :30 show open for the Animal Planet show, Fangs! The production team, headed by producer Jesse Gordon, set out to create a suspenseful mood, evoking danger and adventure. Using low-pitched drums and droning tones, G&E composed music that compliments the graphics and establishes an ominous atmosphere. The graphic design is a haunting collage of snakes, cheetahs, sharks and lions that will make the faint-hearted wriggle in their seats. Sound design for the spot includes lion roars and snake hisses that brings the animals to life and the hairs on the back of our necks to their full, upright positions. Also on the G&E plate, a 3:00 video for Clear Channel, the leader in radio and live entertainment. Clear Channel owns and operates billboards, local television stations, and the world's largest concert and outdoor entertainment company, SFX. The video was comprised of six sections, distinguishing the six companies that combine to form Clear Channel. G&E created a unique vibe for each section and strung the entire piece together seamlessly. The music spans from good time rock n roll to modern electronica with a touch of sound design. The project required four versions and was completed in three days. For G&E, the creative process for these two projects began with rough versions of the graphics. After discussing the creative direction with the respective team leaders, G&E created preliminary tempo tracks. The final versions of the graphics were then cut to align with the tempo track. Once the graphics and editing were completed, G&E then scored and sound designed to the final cut. The creative exchange between producers, editors, graphic artists and G&E Music allowed for a flow of ideas that ultimately lead to a better final product. G&E, founded by Glenn Schloss and Erik Blicker is a full service sound design and audio post production company providing original and licensed music to the film and television industry.
