G&E Music Opens Doors for Mix & Audio Post

The hour-long documentary Outwitting Hitler, written and directed by Chris Ward for Showtime Original Pictures, is slated to be featured at the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. on April 1 -2, 2002. The critically acclaimed documentary, an intriguing foot note to WWII, was co-produced by Steve Beal and mixed by G&E creative partner, Glenn Schloss. Working out of G&E Music's studio A in Manhattan, Schloss mixed the entire show and sound designed certain segments using ambient beds and swooshes from G&E's Producer's Toolbox. Following up the success of Outwitting Hitler, G&E Music has seen an increase in mix and audio post work, having mixed shows for HBO Family, PBS, and The Food Channel in recent months. To accommodate the growing number of mixing clients, G&E has brought sound designer/engineer/composer Brian Quill on board. "Quill has handled much of the mixing responsibilities for recent projects and he's become a great addition to the G&E family," says Schloss.

Most recently, Quill mixed the Food Channel pilot "After Midnight . . . NYC," which will air April 28, 2002. The show is a culinary journey through some of New York City's trendiest after hour hang outs, and most expensive hotels. Producer Robin Dorian called on Keyframe Post for preproduction, editing and graphics before handing the project off to G&E to mix.

G&E principals Schloss and Blicker continue to open their doors to more mixing clients."In addition to doing original music and sound design we now have the ability to mix projects for our clients at affordable rates; you may not get a cappuccino machine or a pool table, but you will definitely walk out with a great mix," says Blicker.
