G&E Music Takes Off With PAM ANN" STEWARDESS EXTRAORDINAIRE"New York, NY (April 19th, 2004) - PAM ANN has landed in New York City and G&E celebrated flight 001's maiden voyage alongside a sold out audience. Theatergoers that attend "PAM ANN: COME FLY WITH ME" are treated to an airport experience from the moment they walk into the theater, replete with flight attendants and airplane seats. Produced by Daniel Nardicio and Jared Geller, the interactive show features airhostess superstar PAM ANN and her dazzling flight crew. The entire show revolves around Pam, the swanky diva stewardess and her willing (and sometimes unwilling) passengers as she takes them through an entire flight experience, 'PAM ANN style." Using props and stewardesses wouldn’t have been enough to create the full airport setting – and that is where G & E comes in. With sound effects, music, and voiceovers, the producers at G&E turned an ordinary New York City theater into the ‘quintessential airport terminal’. Glenn Schloss spearheaded the project with additional sound design by Ryan Hobler, Rolando Alvarado, and Elliot Sneider. The passengers (aka audience) are treated to the pleasant sounds of planes taking off and landing, loungy airport muzak, and the distant murmur of people waiting for other flights -- and every minute or so, the sarcastic, sometimes rude, always funny announcements, telling the passengers things such as: “The white zone is for loading and unloading; the pink zone is reserved for tearful goodbyes; the red zone is for rolling your spouse of twenty five years out of the car without even saying goodbye.” |
G & E took all of these sounds creating a 45 minute backdrop of ambience to set the mood as the audience prepares for take off. " This was our first commissioned airport environment." says creative partner Glenn Schloss. "Seeing this entire production come to life was a real trip. The final results were pretty fantastic. "
Pam Ann is now playing at the New Pam Ann Building, 220 Bleeker Street (at Carmine), New York, NY
