G&E Boys Make Noise at Promax

Miami Beach, FL
The G&E crew arrived in Miami last week armed with basses, guitars, v-drums, and egg shakers, planning a musical coup d'etat on the Promax show floor. With the help of Miami Beach local and long time G&E affiliate Andy Russel, the crew's mission was a success.

The line of attack was simple - live music. The G&E band featured the percussive onslaught of Glenn Schloss and Andy Russell while guitarist/bassist Erik Blicker laid down the sauce. The occasional passerby would join the jam, triggering samples off the keyboard or shaking eggs. G&E kept the people entertained while at the same time giving a taste of what they're all about . . . making music.

G&E's Brian Quill and Matt Kelly were busy giving demos of the Producer's Toolbox, handing out egg shakers, and mingling with the good people at the show. The response to the Producer's Toolbox was unvaryingly positive. Most people were blown away by the usability of the sounds and variety of the music for the price. The crew raffled off a free Producer's Toolbox each day of the show, adding to the attraction of the booth.

The week was most memorable, according to G&E, for all the fun, talented people who swung by the booth. From the crew at Keyframe Post, to the Extreme Music guys, to the Concept World Wide girls, to Eliza, Jesse and Monica from Discovery, and everyone who came by to shake an egg. G&E looks forward to seeing everyone next year, if not sooner.
