Black Gold - truTV Original Composition - Sound Design |

MISSION: Create an original composition and sound design package that brings the grit, guts and glory to Black Gold, truTV's newest reality TV show. After receiving a quick time movie with a rough cut, G&E composers created several music tracks ranging from laid back Americana to over the top, cinematic. During the demo phase, a rock guitar riff was chosen by the producers at truTV. The screaming guitar riff drives the danger throughout the promo and the track was polished with G&E's exclusive mastering chain in studio B. During the compositional process, the sound design team was hard at work in studio A creating the ultimate marriage between music and sound fx. After several rounds of sound design integration, the final mix and splits were delivered via FTP as 24/48K AIF files. RESULT: TruTv's highest rated show ever The debut episode notched all sorts of viewership records for the network |
